Dr. Haydeh Shirazi returned to Iran from Germany to prevent the destruction of agricultural land, eliminate urban waste and combat air and water pollution. She persistently fought her way to the post of water manager in Kermanshah; today all the city’s garbage is recycled. But the energetic Haydeh does not stop there but is now committed to promoting recycling centres throughout Iran. Because for her and her German husband the fate of the earth has the highest priority.
