Seventy-year-old Mahin has lived alone since the death of her husband and is connected to her daughter and grandchildren in Europe via Ipad. All in all, a lonely affair and so Mahin sets out in search of a man – a lover! But it has to be the right one, whom she finally finds in the amiable Faramarz, who works as a cab driver and no longer expects much from life. “My Favourite Cake” screened in competition at the Berlinale, but the directing duo were not allowed to leave Iran.
