For her research work on “Censorship in Iran”, Sreemoyee Singh, originally from India, travels to Iran. She meets the courageous human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotudeh, she meets filmmakers such as the famous Jafar Panahi, who talks about being banned from his profession and imprisonment, and she talks to women who uncompromisingly demand their civil liberties. As a lover of the feminist poet and passionate singer Forough Farrokhzad, Singh herself is always unexpectedly at the center of events.
