A bunch of likeable good-for-nothings in their forties decide to go on a treasure hunt in the midst of economic misery. Filmmaker Hesam Eslami accompanies them as they use divining rods and metal detectors to unearth gold from ancient tombs dating back to pre-Islamic times – but a judge and her bailiffs are hot on their heels. When they are caught, the filmmaker is also caught. A tragicomic film about utopias and hopes, about the last rebels and romantics.
