Largely unnoticed by western audiences, the genre of Iranian nature films has reached a remarkable level. It takes us into a rich flora and fauna amidst overwhelming natural scenery and secluded landscapes and suggests that man’s relationship with nature must change. We will show two films by Fathollah Amiri which have received numerous international awards. „Ranger and Leopard” accompanies the rescue operation of the endangered Persian leopard, and “Spider-Tailed Viper” follows a team of researchers in the difficult search for a unique, very strange little snake.
