After studying literature in Paris, Teheran native Shirin Parsi and her husband settled in the village of Shanderman on the Caspian Sea. There, the Parsi family is investing in sustainable agriculture: In a region where more and more farmers have to sell their farms to contractors, Parsi’s rice is produced from 100% organic farming. Shirin is also involved as an activist in a local women’s NGO. The film accompanies the tireless Shirin in her quest for social and ecological change.
